Costa Urbana Rioparque featured and awarded at the 19 Bienal de Arquitectura in Buenos Aires

West 8 is proud to have been featured at the 19th edition of the Bienal, together with partners PALO ARQ, displaying the most recent work of the project of Costa Urbana Rioparque. Entitled ‘El paisaje como experiencia en lo urbano’ [Landscape as an experience within urbanity], West 8 was represented by project leader, Sofia Charro, who shared an overview of the ambitions, design and ongoing developments of the project.

While featured in the exhibition, the project team was presented with a distinction award in the Landscape category. Within the conference space, the team exhibited a 1 x 1.8m wooden model, built by West 8, as well as drawings and a montage of the latest design. West 8 previously participated in the Bienal in both 2014 and 2022. The 2024 edition of the event included an exhibition which was held between October 9 to 13, 2024 at the Faena Art Center in Buenos Aires.

About the event –
The Buenos Aires International Architecture Biennial (La Bienal Internacional de Arquitectura de Buenos Aires ) was founded in 1985. For almost forty years, it has brought together architects and intellectuals from all over the world to exhibit and discuss the most significant works of architecture and design. For a week of conferences and exhibitions, the Biennial conquers the city, its museums and shared public spaces. A meeting place for great national and international architects, the event is recognized internationally for its production of different scales.
