Design for Garden of British Design Museum in Kensington, London Unveiled
West 8 is privileged to have the opportunity to work on the site of the former Commonwealth Institute. The project consists of an enabling development of residential buildings, which will allow for the renovations to the Grade 2 Heritage listed Parabola Building, soon to become the new home of the British Design Museum. The garden will be named as ‘Holland Green Garden’.
The starting point for the design of this soft, undulating garden is based on the principles that informed the former Commonwealth Institute’s original landscape design by Dame Sylvia Crowe. For more detail on the design philosophy click on the project profile link.
