Madrid Rio has won the Great Scale Character prize (Actuaciones de carácter gran escala) for the the 3rd Edition of the Albert Serratosa City and Territory Award at The College of Civil Engineers, Canals and Ports (CICCP) in Zaragoza, Spain.
The judges awarded the Madrid Rio project for a series of qualities: the international reach of the project; the renovation and regeneration of the area at the urban scale; the technological innovations from both construction and operational phases as well as the general overall design of the public areas, specifically the park.
Established in 2017, the objective of the Albert Serratosa City and Territory award is to reward, publicize and disseminate the actions of administrations, companies, and professionals who contribute in the medium and long term to sustainable developments. The winning entries are to be presented in a touring exhibition.
