Miami Beach Soundscape wins Frederic B. Stresau Award & Florida ASLA’s Award of Exellence
Miami Beach Soundscape has received the prestigious Frederic B. Stresau Award for absolute innovation and design excellence of the profession in 2011 and the Award of Exellence from the Florida Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).
Miami Beach Soundscape transformed a parking lot into a three-acre urban park in the heart of downtown. With a design that captures the spirit and vitality of Miami Beach, its daily role as an urban oasis for passive recreation also serves as a gathering place for cultural and special events. Combined with audio and video programming on an expansive 7,000-square-foot projection wall, the Park is a world-class destination: marrying music, art, and the everyday landscape.
