West 8 + DTAH in a joint venture have worked with Waterfront Toronto to develop an exciting vision for Parliament Slip that could transform this important part of the Inner Harbour into a waterfront destination on the shores of Lake Ontario.
The vision coordinates with and leverages the upcoming Quayside development and extension of Queens Quay East, the primary waterfront boulevard. The program being considered for Parliament Slip includes a signature WaveDeck that expands upon those already constructed along Queens Quay West, a pedestrian bridge, a finger pier, kayak and canoe launches, lakeside pools, a floating restaurant, new mooring facilities with charging stations for electric marine craft, and a waterfront amphitheatre.
The West 8+DTAH joint venture was awarded the Central Waterfront Innovation Design project in 2006 through an international competition and have worked closely with Waterfront Toronto to transform the waterfront into a world-class destination, celebrating Canada’s lakefront experience.
