West 8 receives ASLA Honour Award for Longwood Gardens Main Fountain Garden
Longwood Gardens’ Main Fountain Garden has won an Honor Award in the General Design category of the 2018 ASLA Professional Awards. This week, Claire Agre, Principal of West 8 New York, represented the design team to recevie this honor on stage at the ASLA Annual Meeting Award Ceremony in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
“Brilliant. To do something so contemporary in the fountains, like the way the lighting works. That’s where I think the creativity comes in,” the awards jury commented.
This year, ASLA received 374 entries of which 25 received awards. The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) recognizes the best of landscape architecture in the general design, analysis and planning, communications, research, and residential design categories from the United States and around the world.
