Gardens tell a story: they combine poetry and narrative. The Garden of 10,000 Bridges represented human life; the path of people’s lifetime, which is a route of uncertainty and burden, but also of highlights and elation.

For the 2011 Xi’an International Horticulture Exhibition, West 8 designed a Master Landscape Architect Garden, that played with the limits and gave the sensation of surprise. The garden design took visitors on a walk of life represented as a meandering, winding trail. Continuous and like a labyrinth, the garden invited visitors to find their way through nature and over 10,000 bridges.

The Xi’an International Horticulture Exhibition 2011 was open until the 22nd October 2011.
