The surroundings of the train station with its widely separated and combined traffic flow are carefully re-arranged. The ambition consists of creating a full ‘city portal’ with environmental quality and a smooth and safe access for all users. The image of the ‘highway into the city’ is hereby transformed into a monumental green city boulevard. In the meantime a lush promenade provides a clear and direct connection to the public transport terminal.
