The transformation of the historic Boulevard J.B. Lebas By West 8 into an urban park brought back the quality of the 18th century public space to the city of Lille. The existing boulevard was reconstructed to it’s original intent. The urban aspect of the park is emphasized by the addition of a 4-meter high park fence. In this fence, a variety of elements are integrated, such as seating elements, pivoting gates and information panels. Within the enclosure are three squares, relating to different neighbouring functions, each surrounded by green landscaping.
