Sund Garden

Bo01, Malmö, SE

The Sund garden is meant to be just a garden. A garden in its pure sense: small, enclosed, non-functional and formed on illusions. What seems to be a strange wooden construction from a distance is in fact an enclosed garden.

The rectangular garden is framed by a 2.5m high wall of tree trunks, like one finds in the forest, stacked piles waiting to be transported to the mill. Through a gap one enters the garden of ‘pick-up-sticks’, long tree trunks randomly stacked and connected.

Hundreds of wildly scattered pine trees in a chaotic space constellation fill the garden. Was it the result of a storm, an explosion or did it just fall from the sky?
