Where the City Is Our Landscape

As landscape architects on a team led by Prior + Partners and ARUP, West 8 manifested Peabody’s ambition of Living in the Landscape; bringing together themes of nature, ecology, biodiversity, place, community, people and identity through 3 core landscape themes: The Big Blue (connected waterways), The Big Green (open space network), and the Red Green (streetscape strategy). At the nexus between urbanity and natural wilderness, West 8’s proposal awakens a rich, diverse and varied underlying ecological fabric to create a place where you can feel nature at your doorstep and see wildlife through your window.
