School 7 in Den Helder named world’s best library!

West 8 congratulates School 7 in Den Helder on winning the title of Public Library of the Year issued by The International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA).

The development of a new public library is part of our ongoing efforts to revitalize the City Center of Den Helder. School 7 flourishes as a new public destination on the eastern side of the central Beatrixstraat, and as a link between city and the former shipyard Willlemsoord, which is transforming into a cultural hub. 

This weekend Den Helder celebrates 10 years of revitalization. West 8 will continue to work hard with all involved parties on energizing this maritime city even further.
