Daniel Vasini
Creative Director
As Director of West 8 North America, Daniel visualizes master plans, urban environments, and large-scale landscape architecture interventions and specializes in transformative urban waterfront projects. He steers the concept stages and visioning of projects both in the Americas and in Europe.
Daniel leads and collaborates with top-tier multi-disciplinary teams to address complex challenges and envision solutions that articulate the major urban design issues of our time. He is deeply committed to a project-tailored, wide-reaching, iterative process of design, and is adept at its implementation. He rises to infrastructure and urbanization challenges by creating designs that address sustainability goals, natural resilience, and historic identity.
With over 15 years of experience at West 8, collaborates closely with founding partner Adriaan Geuze. He started in the Rotterdam headquarters and relocated to lead the North America office in 2016. Daniel graduated with honors and as Fulbright Scholar earned his Masters Degree in Metropolitan Research & Design from Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) in Los Angeles, California. Sharing his experience of international projects with students, Daniel lectures and served as visiting critic for Harvard Graduate School of Design, Syracuse University among a few as well as panelist, juror, and, conferences around the world.
