Public Relations & Business Development

Leading the Public Relations and Business Development strategies of both the North American Office and the Rotterdam headquarters, Jack plays a critical role and is essential to the interdisciplinary spit of the office. Bridging across teams to collaborate with leadership on the strategic thinking behind bringing West 8’s visions into the public eye, Jack’s background in architecture and design enables him to judge the business of acquisitions and communications, understand project history and daylight the studio content to mainstream media and new clients.

Jack utilizes his design vocabulary skillset of spatial planning to tailor communication strategies, direct communications, and lead marketing endeavours across local and global markets. In addition to website and social media management, Jack assists the management team with academic writing, research and presentations and supports tenders and competitions by producing high-quality documents, video editing and illustrations. Most notably, he featured in the writing and preparations of the first guest-curated issue of topos magazine: infrastructures by West 8.

Before joining the team, Jack graduated Cum Laude from TU Delft with a master’s degree in Architecture where he specialized in storytelling through architecture, narrative and historical referencing. He was awarded the Silver Medal from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)’s Yorkshire Student Awards for his undergraduate thesis at Huddersfield University and previously worked in London as an Architectural Assistant.
