This week, on October the 26th, 2022, Waterfront Toronto hosted the inaugural Waterfront Design Review Panel Awards in their lakeside offices. As well as honouring legacy projects of the iconic waterfront, the bi-annual awards were created to celebrate and recognize design excellence for projects that were completed in the design review panel process over the last three years.

Of the four West 8 projects that were nominated, the Lake Shore Boulevard public realm master plan (West 8 + Dillon Consulting) won for excellence in planning and urban design, and the iconic WaveDecks (West 8 + DTAH) were awarded a winner for the Hall of Fame, celebrating and recognising the lasting impact they have made on the waterfront.

As designers of the overall masterplan for the Toronto Central Waterfront, West 8 + DTAH would like to thank Waterfront Toronto and the design review panel for the fruitful and long-term relationship.
