West 8 and Atelier Kempe Thill One of Twelve Finalists for BMW Fiz Future Design Competition

West 8 together with Atelier Kempe Thill have been selected as one of the twelve finalists to develop a master plan for the long-term development of BMW Group’s Research and Innovation Center (FIZ) in Munich.

According to BMW “The Group’s continuous growth, technological changes (such as the emergence of e-mobility, novel materials, and increasing interconnection) along with new working times and workplace paradigms necessitate medium to long-term restructuring and expansion”.

The project development site extends over 26 hectares and will be restructured in two-stages, from February to April 2014 and from June to August 2014.
