West 8 presents at lecture “Cologne perspectives: the public space”

A 5-part series “Cologne perspectives: the public space” of lecture, organised by the city of Cologne, Department Urban Development, Planning, Construction and Transport in partnership with Cologne Chamber of Commerce and the KAP Forum, takes place this year between May to December. Renowned planners are invited to present some outstanding European examples of design in urban space. 

West 8’s representative, Christoph Elsässer, will join the forum to tackle the question of how we make our city more attractive when changes are to be made for open spaces. This second lecture of the five parts series will take place on 4th July. Other invited speakers include: Johannes Böttger, Büro urbane gestalt landschaftsarchitekten; Andreas Denk, chief editor of the magazine “The Architect” of the BDA and visiting professor of Architectural Theory, University of Applied Sciences Cologne. Presenter the forum will be Christian Hümmeler. They will discuss how to make better quality of life in public spaces.
