West 8 to attend Rapperswil Tag, Switzerland

Rapperswil Tag, organised by Hochschule für Technik Rapperswil, is an annual one-day conference on current topics in landscape architecture. This year it will take place on the 9th of March and its theme is: ‘This Way! New Paths (in)to the Landscape’. In many areas in the Switzerland, landscape design seem to make place for settlements and infrastructure. With this conference, HST Rapperswil hopes to open a discourse on the question of quality and perception in landscape architecture, and how to deal with these rapid developments.

West 8 has been invited to contribute to this conference. Christian Dobrick will attend this conference on behalf of West 8. He will present a lecture on new landscapes, and on how the development of contemporary and rural space should be placed within their cultural context.
