West 8’s Urban Benches Divano and Pouf Used in Pistoia, Italy

Made of hard exotic wood slats with a powder coated steel frame, Pouf and Divano are all remarkable outdoor objects and readily relate to their varying contexts. They fit in the urban Italian heritage of the city of Pistoia and provide welcoming outdoor meeting places. Ergonomically, they bring comfort and protection.

The municipality assembled multiple Pouf providing curvy backless seats to visitors and locals that can also enjoy Divano benches, a comfortable shorter backrest option.

The timber seat is the most bespoke line of timber benches designed by West 8. Iterations of this bench-concept have produced unique seating for projects. These iterations describe a clearly legible evolution over the years, each stage producing a timeless design.

The city of Pistoia uses the Metalco’s collection equipped with and without backrests and footrests.
